Drawings

I consider my drawings as studies for artworks. I enjoy working with charcoal and graphite because it helps to figure out the accurate form and the visual potential of the artwork that I am exploring.

The techniques like mark-making, blending, erasing, and monochrome quality in drawings help me to experiment with the light source, the weight of the forms in the, and the composition of the artwork.

Project description

Badlapurscape” is created with charcoal on the paper. I convey the dropping of memory of the home town in the drawing. The charcoal as a material represents the decomposition or the reminiscence of the thing. Anatomy represents the decay and rebirth to me.

I explore the dramatic contrast of black from charcoal and white from the paper in the artwork. The monochrome sets the cold and sad mood in the work.
