Paintings
My focus is on landscapes and my relationship with them. My artwork is about my surroundings and my sentiments about them. Every element in nature – be it soil, clouds, bark, mountains, water. speaks of rejuvenation.
I enjoy the spontaneous adaptation found in nature and channel that in my artwork.
Project description
I always wonder what type of personalities live in the houses while looking at their windows. The objects in windows or the sneak peek of the house provided from the open window or the way the window is shut tells something about the person living in it. This has led me to paint ‘The Windows’.
I chose the windows from the different parts of the world, placed them in the building format which is the identity of chawl system or the buildings in Mumbai. I have used watercolors as a medium for painting windows which shows simplicity and fluency in the artwork.
